Work Types
Maintenance is managed via two processes in the system.
Operational Maintenance
Operational Maintenance is the standard maintenance workflow, and is the most advanced workflow covering everything from raising a work request to completion to analysing the executed work. This workflow is mainly used for non-repeatable work that can be planned and scheduled. The work will be created via a work request or directly via a work order.
Tactical Maintenance
Tactical Maintenance, also known as Preventative Maintenance, is managed via the Tactical Maintenance module. Work raised as Tactical Maintenance is already approved beforehand by the management/gatekeepers, including the related funding, the number of treatments and frequency interval. This to guarantee that the asset condition stays acceptable during its life cycle.
Work orders that are manually or automatic generated from a preventative maintenance plan don't have to be planned and approved and can be scheduled directly into the workflow.
